On Friday, Cambridge Elementary concluded two weeks of Aboriginal speakers/presenters sharing their culture and experiences with students. Our closing ceremonies included a song titled, “Show Us the Way” by grade 6 students from division 4 and an interactive dance performance by Shyama Priya, who shared her Cree heritage with our students. A special thank you to Ms. Burwash and Ms. Wiebe for putting together a slideshow of highlights from the two weeks.
Bike, Walk or Wheel to School Week at Cambridge was a fun, week-long celebration for students of all ages and abilities to use an “active form of transportation” when travel
ling to and from school. The weather was great and WE HAD STUDENTS MAKE OVER 1500 TRIPS TO SCHOOL “UNDER THEIR OWN POWER“.
HUB Cycling, a charitable non-profit organization established in 1998 to improve cycling conditions in Metro Vancouver, has a great resource site on Raising Your Bike IQ. It is worth checking out!
