Every week I try to capture the learning that goes on in our classrooms, hallways, portables, and beyond. I know that I miss many activities, presentations, learning tasks, and happenings that take place throughout the week, but I can still say with confidence, Cambridge is a place of rich learning, thinking, creating, communicating, and succeeding. In last week’s photos look how many students are engaged in work that matters!
Learning How to Make Stop Motion Videos
Learning about the Coast Salish People: Cedar, Wool, and Stone Workshop
Learning and Showing Our Understanding of the Core Competencies
Learning about a BC Resource: Salmon and Commercial Fishing

Rich Minds-on Learning Activities in our Portables
Safe Schools Social Media Presentation
Physical Education at the New Aquatic Centre
More Learning Activities this Week!
And Learning through the Arts
This last Friday, our last Friday before Spring Break, students and staff gathered for a week’s end assembly. We reviewed and talked about assembly etiquette and expectations, recognized our basketball players and coaches, honoured our Science Fair participants, and gave a warm farewell to Ms. Pannu, one of our Education Assistants, who will be taking on the position of Teacher-On-Call in Delta. Congratulations and best wishes, Ms. Pannu!
After watching Mr. Nelson’s wonderful video, “A Look Back at February and March”, Mr. Nelson wished everyone a safe and happy Spring Break! See you, Monday, March 27th!
Our Cambridge PAC put on a great bake sale. Thank you to all parents who donated baked goods and other tasty treats. And thank you to our parent volunteers who ran a smooth and happy bake sale. A yummy success!
The other day a friend of mine sent me this video clip. As I watched, I couldn’t help laughing out loud at the playful and curious antics of this very skilled little polar bear. It got me thinking about how important it is to invite our children to be curious and independent, to play and to be who they want to be. Have a peek!
Finally, I wish all our Cambridge families a happy Spring Break. March break is for families to take some time to play together, laugh, and enjoy the company of those we love. Take care, and enjoy your family time! Next post will be April 3rd.
