CAMBRIDGE CARES: FOOD AND PYJAMAS DRIVE

Cambridge will be participating in the Surrey Food Banks Holiday Food/Fund Drive. We invite you to help make a difference by supporting our neighbours who struggle with life’s greatest challenges. Did you know that the Surrey Food Bank assists over 14,000 people each month, 41% are under the age of 18?  Many Cambridge families can help by making a donation this holiday season.

Most Needed Food Items

Canned Protein (Fish and Meat)
Canned Fruit
Canned Vegetables
Meal in a Tin
Whole Grain Rice
Pasta and Sauce
Healthy Canned Soup
Baby Formula (Large Cans)

If you are able to support this cause, please bring in food and/or monetary donations starting December 1st. Your child’s classroom will have a box to collect food items. There will be a cash box in the office for monetary donations. A group of Cambridge students will be counting how many items (cans/boxes) are brought in and recording it visually in the halls of Cambridge. We will keep you posted on how much Cambridge gives!

Thank you for your support!

If you have ever received a new pair of Christmas Pyjamas as a child you know how  great it feels to snuggle in for the night and wait for Santa in your new PJs.  Many children have never experienced this, but you can help change this. You can purchase a new pair of pyjamas for a child, newborn to 16 years old, and bring them to your child’s classroom, or the school office, by December 8th, and help make it a cozy winter’s night for a child in Surrey.

IS THAT YOU, BUDDY?

This image was just sent to us over the weekend.

Hhhm? Is that you, Buddy?  Watching the movie, Home Alone?

December 1st is just around the corner. Will Buddy be returning to Cambridge?

What will Buddy be up to this holiday season? He sure was busy last year, making mischief and showing up in the most unusual places.

Just looking at the December schedule and I noticed there is no mention of a school Christmas concert. Last years was fantastic…is there nothing planned for this year?

    • It was a wonderful event I agree. It has been the practice at Cambridge to put on a Christmas concert every other year. In the off year there will be a Holiday Sing-a-long and band concert. This will be on the morning if the 16th.
