CAMBRIDGE NEVER STOPS! IT’S FLOOR HOCKEY TIME
Back by popular demand, our Cambridge floor hockey league returns for all interested student from Grades 2-7. A sign-up took place prior to Spring Break, but if your child missed it, we can always find room for them on a team. Just let us know.

Below you will find rosters as well as a tentative schedule of all games.

DROP-OFF BUDDY PROGRAM
The week prior to Spring Break was another successful one for our DROP-OFF BUDDY program. The aim of the program is to use student leaders to escort younger students to their classrooms so that parents can avoid parking in the drop-off zone. Wednesday went so well the first week, students asked right away if we could run the program again on Friday! Friday was again another success. Thank you Cambridge students for your leadership!

Parents, how can you help? The best way is to actually use the service. Our student leaders are there to help because they want to help solve a chronic problem at many schools – vehicles parked in the drop-off zone.

Just pull into the drop-off zone as far forward as possible, and look for a DROP-OFF BUDDY (which should now be much easier since we have purchased shiny red hardhats for them to wear). Help your child out of the care if needed, give them a kiss, and hand them over to a buddy.

After Spring Break, we will run the program on Wednesday and Friday, then we will gradually expand the program to more days.

Stay tuned, and thank you for your support!

GOOGLE EXPEDITIONS AT CAMBRIDGE
Google Expeditions was a huge success this past Friday. All students from Grade 2-7 had the opportunity to experience virtual reality, traveling to explore topics such as:

  • volancos
  • biomes
  • Aztec, Mayan, and Egyptian ruins
  • Brazil
  • sharks
  • the Amazon
  • the Great Barrier Reef

…just to name a few. Thank you to the Surrey School District as well as Google Expeditions for the opportunity, and to our volunteer Cambridge Parents who assisted throughout the day!
